Well
I was watching Nigella Lawson this weekend. The show was called Nigella Bites, not Feasts. And everything in the epsiode was totally British. In Nigella Feasts she at least humors us and throws in the Fahrenheit temperatures for baking. She made a yorkshire pudding, and a stew.
A few things threw me off though. The opening of the epsiode she was making “eggy bread” for her kids. Which is essentially what we call “French Toast” although her daughter eats it with ketchup. The other thing that caught me aside from her grilling up aubergines. Was the way she pronounced oregano. I’m used to “ore EGG ano” but she said it “ore eh GAH no” and she did it twice. I totally forget the differences in our same language when I don’t watch enough BBC America. I need to get back into that.
In other news, my hacking cough is going down although Yo Master D has it now. Only two people have mentioned the annoyance meter. One laughed, the other said, “It’s not that high.” I had to adjust it, make it higher.
Who’s watching Heroes? OMG! Who’s watching Battlestar Galactica? OMFG!!! Is anyone really watching Lost? BAH! I’m hanging in there with Gilmore Girls, but I have to say, this is the last season I’m going to watch. And the show The Class, was kinda growing on me. It hasn’t been picked up yet for next season, and it’s finale was last night. I’m hoping it will continue though cuz it’s kinda funny, call it a guilty pleasure.
Can I just point out how Halls Cherry cough drops and Diet Dr Pepper make a REALLY bad taste in your mouth? bleuch.
