So this weekend with the blistering heat I chose not to go outside too much. Went to the theatre and saw The Devil Wears Prada. I liked it. I haven’t read the book, and now I’m thinking I might have to go pick it up. It was a fun movie, and Meryl Streep does a brilliant job as a nasty, demanding boss.
Then stayed in with rented movies…
Hoodwinked – A great animated fairy tale that was totally overlooked on its theatrical release. Patrick Warburton has one of the greatest voices for cartoons and Andy Dick is hysterical. You really should look for this one at your video store. It’s cute and funny.
Syriana – I’m not sure how to describe this one. It’ll definitely make you think about foreign relations. The ensemble cast is brilliant. I liked it, but it is not an uplifting kind of movie.
We also rented Firewall with Harrison Ford, but we haven’t watched that one yet. We may get to it tonight, but we’ve got until Friday at midnight before it has to be returned.
