What’s not clear here?
(items in all caps are what I’ve changed to protect myself from being dooced)
This email is sent to me…
Subject: CLIENT NAME
Is this ad going to be new or is it a pickup?
Thanks,
STUPID SALES PERSON
Since this person runs about 5 different publications for this client I’m not sure which one she’s talking about so I say:
If you mean for the SPECIFIC PAPER we’ll be sending a new ad today.
She replies:
In regards to Monday’s 5/30 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PAPER
So I look around and what I’ve got from the client for the entire month of May shows no ads running for the holiday weekend…the next round of ads begins June 5…
So I say:
We don’t have 5/30 FOR THAT PAPER on our schedules from the client. As far as we know they aren’t planning to run. You should contact THE CLIENT and ask them if they are running on 5/30, as far as our paperwork on this end, we don’t show an insertion on 5/30 in THAT PAPER.
She replies with:
They are running weekly with us through the end of the year.
So I want to know…which part of WE HAVE NOTHING, CALL THE CLIENT does this daft sales rep not UNDERSTAND??
and… just to prove that I was right from the beginning the client said this to her:
No..I don’t have an ad on my schedule..we never run holidays
HA!
