Avoidance
So I’m trying not to really work at the moment. And the dude here at work that’s fixing up the lame website we have (no I will not post a link) is asking for bios and stuff wants us to answer some questions….so here are the questions and answers.
Industry Questions
Where did you go to school? Oak Glen, Memorial, TF South, Columbia College and a short stint at DeVry
How long have you been in the marketing business? 10 years
How did you break into the business? I became a receptionist and got promoted
What is your greatest professional accomplishment? Uh….
What or who inspires you creatively? I get my inspiration whenever I’m in the bathroom away from the computer so I’ve got to remember it from that point until I can get somewhere to write it down.
What brand do you admire the most? The Chevy Nova and how they marketed it to Spanish speaking countries.
What is your greatest contribution to a client’s business? saving them money
Do you have a “hidden” talent? yeah, reciting all 50 states in alphabetical order…blindfolded…with my hands tied behind my back

Do you have a nickname? PirateAlice, but no one calls me that to my face
What is your favorite movie? Far too many to name…I like Princess Bride, Say Anything, Office Space, Dude, Where’s my car (I only own Dude on DVD by the way)
What are your three favorite musicians? Peter Gabriel, Henry Rollins, PJ Harvey
What is your favorite restaurant? Kamehachi
What is your favorite pigout food? Pretzels (when salt is required) Hob Nobs (when sugar or chocolate is required)
What is your favorite vacation destination? I haven’t vacationed too many places yet, but I’d like somewhere warm and tropical with a beach.
What are your three favorite books? UGH… only 3!! are you CRAZY! Douglas Adams’s Hitchhiker books (I count that as one), Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere and Neil/Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens but I reserve the right to change that at any time.

What magazine is a must read each month? I don’t buy magazines anymore. But if I had to I’d pick up National Geographic
