Why does the world hate me?
I’m not sure how much more of this I can take. The City of Chicago has decided to start booting and seizing cars after just two tickets. Apparently, back in 2004 with my old car I had gotten several tickets and on principle I chose not to pay them. Well, now it’s all coming to bite my ass. They will boot and take my car if I don’t give them $1,015 within the next 21 days. I’ve called and spoken to someone there, they want a copy of one of my unemployment stubs and they’ll bring the fine down to $850 and put me on a payment plan. I’m still going to need to scrape up $250 for a down payment on this payment plan. Then I’ll have to pay THEM money each month to keep them happy which will take away money from all the other stuff I have to pay. I’m not sure how much more of this I can take. Why does the world insist on kicking me while I’m down? I’m trying to be positive and stay positive but when this shit keeps happening, it’s really hard.
