Still Alive
I realize I’ve been neglecting the blog. The brick no longer has snow on it. We had a thaw this weekend. It sounds like the week is going to continue with the thaw. Saturday I got out of the house and walked all over the place. It was good to be outside without the giant coat on.
I went to see “He’s Just Not That Into You,” I was out voted it was not my choice of movie. I made the sacrifice to go and see it to be able to hang out with friends. The movie is nothing more than a string of dating movie cliches. And it made me dislike Bradley Cooper, but really all the guys in the movie were jerks and all the chicks were so needy. They’re billing it as a “great date movie” but I don’t see it. Who wants to go on a date and watch people treating each other so badly? Is the movie supposed to make me feel grateful that the person I’m with isn’t such a jerk or at least I haven’t caught his jerkyness yet? Bah to that!
I also got to see Taken. That was a much better movie. Liam Neeson wasn’t a jerk, he was a badass. He’d tear Paris apart to get his daughter back from the Albanian bad guys. He’d even shoot the wife of a friend. Oh, don’t get all upset, he shot her in the arm, she’ll live. He jumps off bridges, he kicks ass, he runs after a car for several blocks, he kicks more ass and not once did he seem winded. I love Liam Neeson.
Really though, not much to say, which kind of explains why I’ve been neglecting the blog.
