Commuting
Shadows waiting for the train

Apparently my bus is incredibly popular with the high school kids. There are 3 schools that I know of along this route. They congregate at my bus stop, take up all the room on the bus. Stand in front of the back door of the bus to force you to mash your way past them in order to get off the bus. It’s not a great way to start your day, every day. Can’t CPS give these kids a yellow school bus? Why force those of us smart enough to not have teenagers in our lives to endure these kids? If I wanted a teenager I’d have gotten pregnant when I was in my early 20s. I suppose I’ll just have to get up earlier and leave earlier to avoid these beasts. (Get off my lawn!)
The other day I was wondering why my old bus wasn’t as overrun with teens, then I realized I used to get on the bus to go to work at 9am. The kids were already at school. I suppose I could do that, but I prefer getting to work before everyone else. I like the quiet time before all the people start harassing you for stuff.
To make today even more painful, as I was going through the turnstile to the train, I bashed my leg against the machine. I’m certain an enormous bruise is forming. Friggin machines.
