Digital World
So I’ve begun the long task of converting my cassettes to digital files. At the moment I’m only able to turn the tracks into .wav files. Once I figure out how to make them actual MP3 files…look out! I found a tape with commercials I did for WZVN-FM. Merrillville Glass & Trim, I’m Shelia. It sounds like the speed is slightly off too, I sound a bit high pitched. Once I figure it all out, I’ll post the saga of Sheila and her crappy car.

My cassette player was EATING MY TAPE! I forgot how horrifying that could be. You must very delicately pull the ribbon of tape out of the heads of the player and then you have to stick your finger in the hole of the tape to manually rewind it and you have to be extra careful that the tape doesn’t fold or twist at all. Then you put the tape back in the player and you pray it doesn’t get chewed a second time around. Ahhh….the joys of cassettes. I forgot how beautiful they can be.
