What is Oak Park thinking?
So it seems Oak Park, Illinois is getting some new development in its downtown area. However town officials are too snobby and stuck up to allow certain businesses to move into this new development.
It seems Oak Park Is not willing to let Lane Bryant move in
Cuz ya know, if your town has a Lane Bryant that means ALL THE FAT WOMEN IN THE TRI-STATE AREA WILL MOVE IN. Cuz ya know, there isn’t a Lane Bryant in Aurora or Calumet City, or Yorktown Mall or…anywhere else in all of Chicagoland. So OBVIOUSLY we’d have to move to Oak Park to shop.
According to the link, “The village did not feel that Lane Bryant represented the kind and quality of retail business it was seeking at this location”
So exactly what “quality of retail” are they looking for? Would they prefer a Pleasure Chest like the one that moved into Lincon and Newport? Cuz we all know only skinny, sexy women use sex toys. So that’d be OK right?
It seems their choice of “quality retail” so far has been Starbucks, Old Navy, Gap and Cosi. Cuz we all know what quality fashionable clothing Old Navy sells. That’s all perfectly business professional clothing. You could wear ANY of their stuff to the office… provided your office didn’t have a dress code. Those Old Navy $5 for two pair flip flops totally dress up any outfit you wear… yeah…uh-huh… I bet the women of Oak Park buy those for wedding shoes.
