LAME!

LameSpace

So, I discovered the other day that LG has a MySpace page. She hasn’t put much of anything on there yet. She’s got a couple of friends I think one of them is her cousin. Then, the other night a friend mentioned she found some folks from high school on MySpace so I started looking around. Only one person I’d really want to talk to is up there, not compelling enough for me to create a page there. But looking over everyone’s spaces, it’s like they’re all new to the internet and HTML. The pages are all flash and no substance. I don’t understand the attraction. They’ve got these flickering graphics and lame music (well…I think creating a page with any music is lame, honestly. Don’t force me to listen to your shit K?) Why? What is the attaction? I see you can pop around and comment to others, but you can start a free blog and comment to each other that way too. Shit, you can email each other privately if you want to talk. They let you put blog entries on the page there, but it doesn’t seem that anyone really bothers to do that.
Yeah sure I was able to search on my graduating class and find people. You can do that via classmates.com if you’re really looking for someone. And really, I don’t want to be “found”. At least, not by the people who have MySpace pages.
Oh, and just the other day, I heard LG telling someone on the phone about her lame page and instructing the person on the phone to “google me” heh… dude, you don’t tell people to google you unless you’ve actually got content on your page, they might just find out how much of a loser you really are.
