NO NO NO
Happy New Year! I rang in the new year with little Sis, her boy and my boy. We watched the local newscasters on ABC count down twice cuz their clocks were sort of off and switched to Conan to see his “midwest countdown” which was just…..weird… Tried to catch Anderson Cooper’s countdown but were too late. We ate too much junk food (and had more unopened in reserve that now needs to be eaten my me and the boy alone).
I think I may be getting sick….
My nose is all stuffy and drippy all day, my throat is feeling all gloppy/scratchy and my ears feel weird. I really don’t need this right now.
It is starting to snow…at the moment it looks nice and pretty, but I’m sure by morning there will be no beauty in it.
I have never felt so compeltely tired on a daily basis as I have these past couple of months. I’m rather certain it’s the getting up crazy early while still going to bed at about the same time I used to when I didn’t have to get up crazy early. But ya know, it’s just so hard to try to get to sleep before 10pm which would be an ideal time to go to sleep for me. I should seriously get to sleep now… But I’m just not “feeling” it.
In a weird way I’m hoping this snow wont be so nasty that I can’t get in to work tomorrow. Mainly it’s because I finally made an appointment to get my haircut. I’d rather not be forced to cancel it. Yeah, other than the haircut I got no reason to go to work. Still bored out of my mind. I think I may have reached that fabled “mid life crisis”. Although I thought it had more to do with personal life than professional dissatisfaction. But if you’re not happy with what you do all day how can you really be happy overall? I dunno…Maybe I missed my calling… I shoulda been an engineer. I was watching Nova tonight, it was all about the Mars rovers. I was watching these people doing something they were so proud of that was SO COOL why didn’t I think to go into that field? How did I get distracted with a job in radio and now advertising? What’s that all about…I was supposed to be doing something cool…not this…this is lame…and boring…and any job listing I look at sounds twice as boring… bleuch…
OK…time to take some kind of sinus clearing drug (which I probably don’t have in the house) and get to sleep.
