I discovered yesterday what I can and cannot do while at work:
1. type – yes, I am not allowed to type at a speed that is faster than the “hunt and peck” speed. All I am allowed to do is click the mouse really. My job doesn’t require actual typing.
2. talk on the phone – while my job does actually require TALKING to people, if I’m using any tone other than one of distaste or annoyance, it’s OBVIOUSLY not a business call. I couldn’t possibly discuss business in a pleasant and happy tone of voice.
3. eat – That’s correct, I ‘m no longer allowed to eat my lunch while at work. That takes away time from my doing work. I can’t ever pause to refuel my body. I guess I’m just supposed to pass out. I am also supposed to be certain that when I do pass out, I actually fall down so that they know I’m no longer functioning.
